Memories of Mom

Last week was a little bit tough for me because Papa was not well. He has a breathing problem and high blood pressure but, he didn't tell me that he is not feeling well. I don't know how he manages himself when he feels not well at this very old age when your body faces so many problems. It's very hard to tolerate those problems without telling anyone but Papa can manage his body issues and diseases without sharing them with anyone. He never discusses his health problems with us.

But Mummy was different from Papa she was always ready to talk about her feelings and health issues to anyone. She feels proud to share her health problems with anyone. Mummy likes people who discuss her health problems and diseases. Many times we try to convince her to not share her health problems with other people because they will laugh at her but she doesn't care about it. Sometimes Mummy got angry with us and said that if you don't understand my problems then let other people understand them.

Mummy has a pure clean and honest heart. If she does not agree with your words or thoughts then she will suddenly deny it, no matter what happens next. She doesn't care about what you feel about her reactions because Mom doesn't know about cleverness, tricks, policy, and politics of conversation. She always bravely expresses her thoughts in front of anyone without any hesitation or fear of getting people upset with her words. If she doesn't like anything she will directly speak about it.

Mummy always gives us an honest review about any product or service. Whenever we purchase anything new and show it to her then she always gives honest feedback from her side. She tells us that this product cost should be less, the color of the product should be different and she even tells us that the design of the product should be like this. And we always judge her with our so-called intelligence without knowing that she is speaking from her pure heart, not from a clever brain.

I never tried to listen to my Mummy when she was able to talk and express her thoughts to me. She always says you are not listening to me today, but one day when I pass away from this world you will remember my words and what I'm saying now, I always try to ignore her words and I never listen to her carefully to understand what Mummy wanted to teach me.

Today Mummy is not with me and I'm remembering her every single word and trying to understand the meaning and use of those words in my life. I'm writing my experience here because one day someone will read this and understand why listening is so important when your parents are trying to teach you something very important.
